Intersectional Matter is an artistic research project at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). It was founded at the beginning of 2019 as a cooperation between the Class for Time-Based Media and Performance, the Institute for Art in Context (IfKiK) and the Inter-University Centre for Dance Berlin (HZT). Together and in exchange with each other, we aim to address the questions: What is intersectionality? What constitutes intersectional discrimination and what does it mean to think and act intersectionally? Numerous workshops, lectures and events during the summer and winter semesters 2019/2020 at the UdK are open to all UdK students and personnel. We are committed to providing uncomplicated access for people with disabilities. Please let us know in advance if you require assistance or special accessibility.
