Berlin, Capital of Germany; the integration of east and west; multi-cultural society, departure, movement, creativity, active life - but also loneliness, solitude and anonymity. Everyone yearns for togetherness, and each love is possible - you just have to find it and live. ‘At Second Glance’ is a film about Kay and Falk, Benjamin and Elena, Till and Pan - three visually impaired couples in the big city juggernaut Berlin - who meet, discover and feel attracted to each other. People see miracles every minute - like those white clouds. We don’t know where they come from and where they want to go. They were always there and they will always be there. They give us a sense of stability and that is good. Give me the good life.
Screening and meeting take place as a part of the seminar “Sutured: Black-Authorship in German Cinema” by Karina Griffith.
